Hip Arthroscopy. An innovation Representing Shift for the Surgery

Not many doctors are aware of it.

There are very few doctors all across the globe to utilize a new technique by which one is able to feel less pain and which also involves fewer obstacles while going through the arthroscopy.

It involves minimal damage of body tissue: to treat femoroacetabular impingement (FAI, in other words), has been known to occur as a cause of hip pain or other ailment related to hip pain. They are quite painful and are mostly seen in athletes playing sports, like Hockey, sprint racing, twirling, playing games like Soccer, or Rugby.

Many socialites saw suffering from it.

Many distinguished players had to go through this treatment, in order to not to go to rehabilitation and be on their toes, as quickly as possible. Every year many people in the US go for this treatment, this has been going around for the past 20 years.

Many people are in pain due to this

The no of people undergoing, keeps increasing day by day, since 2011. Patients have to go for a longer traditional procedure, involving post-surgical pain along with operation.

The major problem with genitals

The one problem (among others) is that the squeezing of genitals, later on, involves a threat of either temporary/permanent Alcock canal syndrome, leading to deadness in private parts.

Traction pad

A traction pad is used on the surgery table, in which the patient’s feet are higher than the head( usually 15 – 30 degrees), also called the Trendelenburg position

Opening up of joints

There is a need to open up the joint so that doctors can safely pass the instruments inside the joint. One of the traditional ways asks you to pull the traction onto the leg and also place a large padded post in patients, called perineal to give counter traction.

The advantages are many

Smaller incisions

Minimal trauma to surrounding ligaments, muscles, and tissues

Less pain

Faster recovery

Lower infection rate

Less scarring

Earlier mobilization

Shorter hospital stays Post-Operative Care

Postoperative care

Eating a healthy diet and avoiding smoking will help in faster healing and recovery
